Cultural Tour

Day 1

On the first day, we will come and pick you up from your arrival to Siem Reap either from the airport or bus station. We will transfer you to your hotel to check in and relax for the rest of the day. If you are already in Siem Reap or you have arranged a transfer with your hotel, then we will skip this part of the tour.

Day 2

You’ll enjoy breakfast at the hotel before heading out Angkor Thom which means “Great City” in English. In Angkor Thom, we will see the famous Bayon temple which is home to the famous faces. The temple was built by King Jayavarman VII and the numerous faces adorning the towers are thought to be his face. We will also see other temples located inside the Great City including Phimeanakas, the Royal Enclosure, Baphuon, the Terrace of the Leper King, and the Terrace of the Elephants.

We’ll then continue to see Ta Prohm which was made famous by the Tomb Raider movies starring Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft. This wonderful temple has been left to the elements and trees are growing right through the middle of the temple.

We will then head back to see what you’ve all been waiting for – Angkor Wat Temple! You can spend hours getting lost in the intricate grounds with many galleries, libraries, pavilions, and courtyards to explore. You can also explore the extensive grounds surrounding the main structure at Angkor Wat. Finally, we’ll head to Bakheng temple where you can see the sun set over Angkor Wat.

Day 3

After breakfast at the hotel, we will go to Banteay Srei which is located around 35km outside of Siem Reap town. This temple is known as the “Lady Temple” or the “Citadel of the Women”. It’s called this because the temple contains some of the most intricate carvings in the whole of the Khmer empire. It’s said that these carvings are so find that they couldn’t have been carved by men and could only have been carved by the fine hands of a woman.

We will also continue the tour to see Preah Khan, Neak Pean, Ta Som, East Mebon, and Pre Rup Temple.

Day 4

On this day, we’ll get to explore Siem Reap town and take a break from visiting temples. After breakfast, we’ll head out to Artisans d’Angkor. Here you can see how local artisans produce arts and crafts using traditional methods. There are many types of arts and crafts including wood and stone carvings, silk, and other things. You can also visit the gift shop where you can buy gifts for loved ones back home.

You will also get to visit the Tonle Sap lake where you can see the floating villages and fish farms which many people call their home on top of the water.

After lunch, we’ll head out to the Cambodian Cultural Village. Here you can explore 11 unique villages which explain about the culture and traditions of Cambodia. At each village, you can see traditional homes, carvings, traditional performances, and even a live wedding! There is dancing, games, acrobats and more.

After the tour, we will head back to your hotel and where you can freshen up before we take you for a buffet meal at a local Apsara Dance Show.

Day 5

On the fifth day, you can enjoy breakfast at your hotel and relax. We will transfer you to the airport or bus station for your departure. If you need to purchase airport or bus tickets, contact us and we’ll only be too happy to help.
